"Every challenge you face today makes you stronger tomorrow. The challenge of life is intended to make you better, not bitter.”
- Roy T. Bennett
When you think about going through a challenge, you assume why is this coming towards me? But what you don't realize is, its outcome will make you smarter and more analytical in ways of creating an experience and most importantly these experiences build “strong characters.”
Don't run from a challenge, because it is testing and seeing what you actually can do. So, if you have something in your life that is very challenging such as debt, work, relationships, a project, or any other task which you think is a challenge for you, then don’t panic from it because you face these challenges for a reason and that reason is the part of your life.
Life is all about challenges and as you get older, you will encounter more challenges in your life. I also have been through a lot of challenges in my life, and I exactly understand how it feels when nothing goes in your favor and your will-power would be diminishing with every passing moment.
But in the process of facing these challenges, you learn something about yourself and your determination to solve such challenges. The great Almighty has blessed us with a brain to think and it’s all up to us how we use it to tackle our challenges.
Moreover, every challenge is not going to turn out the way you expect it to be, and that's fine, but what actually the most valuable is, you get a chance to know about your inner strengths which in some manners solidify you mentally.
Don't think of a challenge as a failure but a competition, and it's a competition with your own self. Some challenges keep you up all night trying to figure out how it can be solved but working through the challenge will make you feel gratified for the reason that you stayed with it.
Perhaps a challenge will bring out more of your competitive side, and allow you to be grateful for this opportunity.
So, when something challenging comes up and you have no idea what to do, then wait for a few seconds and look at the situation carefully before you start panicking and step back from it.
No matter how bad it is, or how much it hurts you but take the challenge with full force because challenges help you to come out of your comfort zone and that’s when you start growing in the direction you want to. Never let the challenge intimidate or scares you.
Use “Self-Motivation” to successfully accomplish any challenge. Self-motivation is the best tool you can use in any challenging situation to keep yourself motivated, it actually boosts your confidence level and activates your mind to work with maximum potential.
Self-motivation puts a kind of impact on your brain that once you take the challenge on, you automatically refuse to quit until you are done. Furthermore, when you conquer all the troubles throughout the challenge and achieve your target then never forget to reward yourself for it because rewarding yourself will positively affect your “Self-belief”.
So, when you run into your next challenge, the self-belief you gain from the previous challenges will make you feel more confident and therefore enhances your performance. The difficulties of the upcoming challenges wouldn’t affect your mind because your mind effortlessly starts replacing every negative thought with the positive ones.
What to do when you lose a challenge or face a failure?
Life is unpredictable and you don’t know what would be the next challenge. It is not certain that you win every challenge, there will definitely be some moments when you face failures, and you would be shattered mentally and maybe depressed. In these circumstances, you would be at your lowest and assumed everything against yourself.
I personally feel that one of the major causes behind our failures is, we unaware of our hidden powers and talents. Additionally, we are oblivious about our weaknesses and strengths. When these kinds of situations occur, instead of analyzing our mistakes we squander our time in thinking about the failure.
Even after facing failures, it’s very important to focus on the things which you learned from it because setback is a lot more than just a disappointment, as it gives you the experience for not to repeat the same mistakes over and over. Failure makes you a curious learner and a true guide for others. So, always hope for the best regardless of the situation.
“Help yourself by helping others.”– “John Templeton”
Today’s failures will give you the experience to climb the mountains of the future. Even you can help others to overcome their hurdles with your experience, and by helping others the satisfaction you get will give you the internal pleasures and helps you in achieving your own targets.
As I said earlier, try to focus on the “positives” of your failures. Yes! “I am talking about the positives of failures” because I believe failing in life is not bad, it makes you an optimistic person. Failures could give you the life you always wanted to live but only if you allow yourself to attempt the challenges that you’re not even sure if you are up for.
Always remember one thing, “to touch the sky you first need an airplane that could take you there.” And self believe is that airplane which lifts your mindset and gives you the courage to go behind the complicated challenges.
Some people get confused and give up when kicked by a failure and it is normal; even happened with me several times, and this is the defining line between the buoyant and hopeless individuals. Optimistic people somehow manage to find out the way to win a challenge by trying it repeatedly, and on the other side, pessimistic people surrender even before attempting it.
Our main problem is, we take failures very seriously, although we don’t need to take much stress about them, instead we should point out the errors and comes up with a strong plan, as it is the only way to win every challenge.
As long as you are on this earth, with every new day you have to be prepared for new challenges and the string of these challenges will only end with your demise. So, “live everyday like it’s your last”. There’s always a “Gift” hidden behind every challenge but you need to work really hard for it because nothing is free in this world.
Lastly, the fundamental principle of life is, to gain something, you have to lose something.
